Photo-Graphic Art in Tapestry Print by Celeste Sheffey

Merging photography with graphic art is one of my all time favorite ways to spend very rare “downtime”.
For this post, I inserted an actual photo of me (the bottom left corner) to illustrate, the before and after . Normally, I create an image that is totally unrecognizable from the original photo but this design was for my personal use. The software I used is my favorite Microsoft Digital Suite 6.  An oldy but goody software that was discontinued, I believe back in 2009. Thankfully, I still have the CD and am able to load it to new systems as needed which is one of the reasons why I have yet to try out Photoshop. I know! it’s true and I seem to be doing just fine.

One of the main reasons I enjoy transforming photos into graphic art is it’s like knowing an inside joke because the original photo could be of any subject imaginable and then viola, it’s reborn into a brand new design. I’ve been asked to create wall art for a few my clients. Looking forward to receiving their photos. 🙂
