Caution ice is falling

Palm trees or ice trees, sand or snow, frozen ice or warm waves? My five year plan is to make it possible to retire and live in Oahu, Hawaii for a few years and visit the other islands. In the meantime, i, along with the vast majority of us in the States are dealing with another incredible winter. It’s no longer just a Northeast winter either which crazy unbelievable.

Snow, sleet, cold and ice, are all part of winter, however when the weather warms up a bit it melting ice becomes a serious hazard. Melting, falling ice from a high rise buildings is a very real and potentially dangerous occurrence. I’ve seen falling ice just barely miss pedestrians who happened to be under an awning. Two more steps and it would have been a very bad situation.

Downtown Boston sidewalks do a good job of reminding people of melting ice with these bright signs which begs the question, what exactly can we do other than move to a warmer climate during the winter or pray we don’t get hit with ice falling on our heads?
