Our family honeymoon cruises was so exciting!
We celebrated my son’s August wedding in Massachusetts then 10 of us, including my Dad and a few friends, all traveled to Baltimore, Maryland. None of us had ever visited Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, St. Thomas and Labadee, Haiti.
Each country had it’s own special appeal. According to Wikipedia “Labadee (also Labadie) is a port located on the northern coast of Haiti. It is a private resort leased to Royal Caribbean International until 2050.”
Royal Caribbean docked and had staff waiting with wheelchairs to assist folks, like my Dad, who could not walk the long pier to the beach especially in the August heat.
The beach was literally right there, no traveling, no cabs, just a few minutes from ship to beach.
The cruise line served us lunch under a covered enclosure blocking the hot summer sun. Afterward, we left Dad who was comfortably seated while we explored the area.
This colorful, photo collage shower curtain of Labadee, Haiti is a funtastic alternative to saving vacation memories.
PS. Fabric shower curtains as drapes? Yes indeed! I’m thinking dorm rooms and kids rooms.
