Saturday was day four of my son’s 22nd birthday trip to Madrid. Unfortunately for me, it was a very bad day medically. My son also decided to stay in and nap due to some jet lag. Magically, around 3:00pm, I began to feel better and chose to wear my easy wear, earth toned Gray and Pink Granite designed side slit dress as we decided we’d venture out for a bit.
I packed plenty of my sleeveless dress designs knowing that even though visiting Madrid in August was hot as expected, it was a hot heat vs humid. We were glad to feel gentle breezes under the many shady trees and thankfully countless benches to sit throughout this expansive and lovely sandy retreat.
Tip for the ladies – the vast majority of the park is sandy with some paved sidewalks, wear comfortable flat shoes that you can easily clean.
Previously, I would design either sneakers or flip flops with each new artwork. It recently occurred to me to at least make it more pleasing to the eye by pairing sneakers with the matching flip flop patterns. Simple, I know, however, it just never entered my mind until now. It’s another “blessing” that has happened since my cancer surgery. More time to focus, contemplate and revise existing work rather than always trying to add new graphics.
An additional tip is for me to remember the four colors of the straps in my Zazzle shop and design accordingly. (black, pink, blue and white).
My Cafe Press shop has orange straps, rather than white! 🙂
It’s super fun to design an autumn inspired full zipper, hooded sweatshirt. Mixing to match fall and winter boots. So much better than shopping for hours in the stores or online. Send me a photo of the item and let’s see what graphic art patterns can be made to match.
My fun skill set is creating patterns to complement and/or match items in your home and closet. In this instance, these blue and black boots caught my eye, however this shade of blue was a bit tricky. Thankfully I love the color black so I played around on my iPad with different apps and came up with over ten mesmerizing graphic art prints, 8 of which are shown in the collage here.
A few of these are now posted in my Artsadd shop and one from my Society6 store. I’ve ordered quite a few fashion wear and home decor items for personal use. They are based in China so there will be a foreign transaction fee, that said, they do excellent work, are wonderfully packed and are shipped within three weeks with shipping details. I’ve shared a few selections below. What are your favorite items or colors to design around?
This mesmerizing graphic art zip up hoodie, is a comfortable blend of Polyester and Spandex. Fashion wear mixing black with colors is my favorite type of fabric patterns. Incorporating the color black makes it very easy to match up a variety of items such as shoes, bags and other fashion accessories, especially helpful in packing for a trip.
I love my pullover hoodies and am excited to now include zip up hoodies. I’ve ordered this one and am looking forward to getting it in the mail within about three weeks!
Contact me with your favorite colors and let’s design something for you.
This beautiful VP square dress and sporty fashion wear were inspired by autumn’s warm neutral earth tones of sepia, russet, deep green and mauve as graphic art. Scroll to the bottom to view the individual items and/or click the links to each store featuring these pattern on various products.
